It feels like every photo on Instagram features beautiful cherry blossoms right now. But there’s a reason for that. Cherry blossom season hits multiple countries around the world, so chances are, there’s someone in your feed experiencing the lovely sight in Tokyo or Paris or Copenhagen. Here’s where to see cherry blossoms around the world.
One of the more famous countries to spot the lovely cherry blossoms in Japan. Here they are called ‘Sakura’ and there are many places to spot them. Tokyo, Kyoto, and Kansai remain some of the most popular cities to view them!
France is another famous destination and many of you have probably seen some Parisian cherry blossoms in your feed. If you go to Paris you’re likely to see cherry blossoms in lots of places including near the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame.
The cherry blossoms in D.C. can attract large crowds. If you’re visiting, try to catch them early morning or late in the day. Some of the best places to see them are at The Jefferson Memorial, The FDR Memorial, and The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial.
You can actually find cherry blossoms in Hamburg, Germany thanks to the large Japanese population that planted them there in the 1960s. However, the blossoms are most famously viewed in Bonn, Germany.
You can see cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in New York. And in case you can’t travel all over the globe, there you will experience 42 different varieties of cherry blossoms. Now that’s a lot of Sakura!
