Okay so I’ve been sitting here with this blank post open for the last 30 minutes and just jamming out to Throwback Thursday on Spotify. Every time I’m like “one more song,” and then the next song is so good! Friday feels for ya. Luckily I am at home working today, which means my own coffee hot and when I want it, and PJ’s all day. Thank goodness for computer jobs!

The first day of fall was yesterday and it’s still so hot here in Phoenix! I can definitely tell it’s cooling off a little in the mornings and evenings. I wake up Monday – Friday at 5:30 am for the gym (unless it’s too much of a struggle), and the weather is nearly perfect. These last few weeks I’ve been non-stop living through all my favorite bloggers on Snapchat during Fashion Week. Marianna Hewitt, Eva Chen, and Chriselle Lim are a few of my favorites. I’ve only just discovered Arielle Charnas and I’m in love with her Ruby snaps! Do you guys have any favorite bloggers through Fashion Week Month?

Speaking of fashion, this week I totally caved in and bought these adorable Jeffrey Campbell boots from Free People. Here is how I generally come to buy something:

Thinks about it for one day, weights pros and cons, and then sees the size 6 completely sell out in front of her eyes. Thinks on it a second day and visits the site again, and sees the size 7 has sold out now. Knows she’s a size 8, and size 7 is way to close to size 8. Panics and throws all cons out the window and purchases boots before they sell out. Looks on website the next day, and sees two sizes left. Breaths large sigh of relief and feels totally happy with purchase. Justifies it by saying, “I can always return them if I don’t like them.”

But at least I am totally ready for fall now, right? Only about 33 more items to go.

Last weekend I did a little shoot with a friend to get some updated photos for my blog. I woke up at 4 am in order to catch the very early light at 5:30 am. We broke in to a little bar downtown that has beautiful outside seating. By ‘broke in’ I  mean we stepped over a four foot fence. We’re so dangerous I know! Excited to use some of the photos on my blog, but still working on a few things (like possibly a new logo) first.

I have a few travel dates coming up. I’ll be in LA next weekend (October 1st) and then the following weekend after that I’ll be in San Diego and Temecula. I’ve been itching to do a few weekend trips lately, so I can’t wait! If you guys have any suggestions of things to do (what I really mean by this are places to eat and coffee shops to visit) in LA or SD, please let me know! I sort of have a list in mind already, but I do love hearing people’s suggestions.

Also, let me know if you’re in LA and want to hang out next weekend! We’ll most likely be visiting a bunch of coffee shops and instagramming around LA. Come hang out with us and have fun!

Next week I will have my morning skin care routine posted, which is a little more robust than my night time routine. I also miiight be doing a giveaway of a product I’ve been RAVING about on Coat + Coffee in the next few weeks. I always take my reader’s feedback seriously and read every comment on every editorial, and I love trying to make things happen for you guys! Hopefully you’ll like what I have in store.

That’s it for super short little life updates. Cheers to the weekend!

  1. Girl, you are an early bird! I admire you for being able to wake up so early! I have to wake up for my job daily at 7am and let me tell you, it is a struggle, haha! <3 Also, it sounds like you have some pretty fun trips planned – I'm super excited for you, and can't wait to see some travel posts! 🙂 <3 I've never been to LA or the US in general, but it's definitely on my bucket list. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! x x

    1. It nearly kills me everyday. I have no idea how I make it out of bed that early. When I get to the gym it’s not so bad and I’m wide awake, but dragging myself out of bed is the hardest part. I hope you have a great weekend to!! Are you Polish by the way? I see it in your name. I just visited Poland, and my family is Polish and Russian. 🙂

  2. Eek! Yes to a giveaway! LOL! My husband calls me a giveaway whore. LMAO! I am almost like you when it comes to shopping, I will ponder and change my mind for 50 times and keeps trying to justify it and then disagree with myself again and then when the product sells out, I will be so upset with myself. There have been a few times my husband gave up on me and purchased the product for me instead. Haha!

    1. Haha! I just always think through my purchases and then I second guess myself. Especially now since I am trying to cut down on specifically clothes shopping. Giveaway won’t be for a few more weeks, but I am so excited! I won a giveaway a few months ago for the first time ever and it was awesome. 🙂

  3. Ohhhh that bike with the basket! I always want to imagine I’d ride around on something so picturesque if I lived in a gorgeous European city. Also, would totally meet up next weekend. Schedule is a bit crazy but maybe a coffee meetup?

    1. Same! I just want to bike around Paris. Though that traffic is pretty scary, I’d probably die haha. Yes let’s definitely meet for coffee! I’ll email you :).

  4. Well done for waking up so early, that’s dedication! And I love your new boots. They’re going to look amazing with your winter coats and scarves!

  5. These kind of posts from you feel just like how I like my Sundays: completely chilled! I love the mix of gorgeous photos and updates from you! Also – no idea how you get up so early for the gym!

    1. Haha thanks Emily! Sometimes you just need those chill posts that remind you why you starting blogging. It’s fun to just ramble on. And I have nooo idea how I get up so early for the gym. Sometimes I don’t make it! But I try…

  6. This post made me LOL in a few places. Your personality just shines through your writing, I feel like we would be besties if I lived closer to you. I love watching all the snaps and Instastories of Fashion week. I actually attended my first fashion week finale last night and even had FROW access (a term I just learned that means Front Row). Apparently it’s a big deal? Mind you it was Vancouver Fashion week, but it’s starting to pick up momentum. They had some stunning designs on the runway. I’ll be blogging about it in the near future =D. I follow both Marianna Hewitt and Chriselle Lim and I love Amy Song, but I bet you follow her too as your first Insta photo on this post is by her! Anyways this ramble is starting to go a little off topic but I just wanted to say I love these IG roundups that you do and I think you’re awesome!

    xoxo Rina

    1. Aw thanks Rina!! That’s the best compliment ever! And yes, I think we have too much in common to not be friends haha. That’s so awesome you went to Vancouver Fashion Week, and what an honor to sit FROW (a term I just recently learned myself). Any fashion week is so cool in my mind. Someday you’ll make it NY Fashion Week or even Paris, I just know it! Your blog is always full of good outfits and stunning photos. I definitely think you deserve to be there lady. I love Amy Song too. Have you grabbed her book yet?!

  7. Been loving Sazan Hendrix, Camila Coelho’s, Song of Style’s, and Marianna’s instas and snaps during Fashion Month. Only makes me wish I could make it there one day (sigh). Enjoy your trips love! Can’t wait to make my way over to the West Coast again. I absolutely love it there.

    1. I love Song of Style as well! Her an Chriselle seem like the best of friends. The west coast is so lovely. I definitely wish I could live in California!
