My favorite post of the week is finally here! There’s something about getting to ramble on about the week’s events and share some inspiration with you guys that makes me so happy. These are my favorite comments to read too because I feel like I get to know my readers more based on my own moments in life.

Anywh0, I’ve been way too much in to skin care lately and as such I’ve created an Instagram account for it. Follow along if you’d likeΒ @skincloud. I’ve been having a lot of fun documenting my routines!

Lots of Instpiration this week…

I can’t seem to get over gorgeous interiors this week. Speaking of such… How do you define your style? I have a little trouble with mine. I tend to prefer Scandinavian, but then with a mix of mid century modern and a slight touch of bohemian. It’s definitely a compilation of the three, but I’m not sure if there’s one title that suits them all. Here is my Pinterest board [Decor],Β if you have any opinion on theΒ matter. πŸ˜‰

Lately I’ve been longing to go home shopping. I’ve spruced my office up with a few things, but I’d love to paint and get some more decorating done. We currently have been renting this place for a few years now, so I’m still on the fence about how much work I want to put in to it. But I’ve always been of the mentality that you’re happier when you have a home you love, no matter the length of time you stay. A year unhappy is a year wasted (i.e. life’s too short!).

Last Saturday I purchased the Dr. Dennis Gross retinol eye cream. It was reallyyyy expensive but I had been ‘eyeing’ it for so long! Do you see what I did there? Would anyone like a review on this product? I feel like high end products are nice to review for my readers because I understand that not everyone can afford them (I mean I really can’t either). That way you can get the scoop on whether or not they are worth it, and I am always 150% honest about the things I purchase. I would be a while before I do this review because I need to get some good use out of it, but just throwing that idea out there!

This week I started planning out where I’d like to visit next. I was able to plan a trip to Helsinki, Saint Petersburg, and Moscow for only $2,000. That includes my flights and accommodations for all three cities. I am seriously considering it. To get this low of a price I have to travel in the off season which I always highly recommend. It’s safe to say I will freeze my bum off in March, but what is Russia without a little snow?

But IΒ am also really dying to go to Paris again! I cannot stop watching my favorite bloggers vlogs from Paris. I feel like everyone has gone, or is going lately. Speaking of Paris, it’s fashion week soon! Every girl’s ultimate dream would be to attend am I right? Regardless I cannot wait to follow along on social media.

What are you looking forward to this fall/winter? Travel? Fashion Week? Tell me!

  1. What an awesome post! Of course you need to do a review on the expensive eye cream because if it doesn’t work well I need to know to never invest in it! And a trip around the corner? My lovely friend, congratulations! I love traveling, it is my moms birthday this December and she’ll be turning 50 so all of us are flying to Kauai to celebrate! Awesome post can’t wait to see more!

    1. I will definitely try to! I figure might as well let me buy the expensive stuff and report back, haha. And omg Kauai is AMAZING! It’s the only Island I’ve been to in Hawaii and I sooo recommend it. You’re going to have such a great time! December is the perfect month too. πŸ™‚

  3. That bay window and powder blue chair…YES PLEASE! I hope you’ll review the eye cream, I’m almost out of my current one and love hearing about different options. You definitely should try to make that trip happen, that price can’t be beat! I’m with you and am more than willing to travel in the off-season to save money and avoid hoards of tourists. In fact because our trip to Paris is falling just after summer we are saving big time. I can’t imagine visiting Russia and NOT seeing it covered in snow!

    1. I love that one too! Such a dream… Traveling in the off season is literally the best. More people should do it. I bet Paris is really great this time of year too and you don’t get the hoards of people. Really smart! Russia + Snow is happening. I’ve always wanted to spend a Christmas there, and my family and boyfriend looks at me like im insane haha.

  4. The window from the @mydomaine account and that ivy covered building are so stunning! I would love to cover my house in Ivy but I’ve heard you have to be so careful about that because they can start to dig into the wood and cause structural problems. Anywhoo… thanks for the inspo babe! I need to find you on Instagram because your account is completely flawless!

    1. Oh really?! I didn’t even know that. We actually have an ivy patch at the front of our house, and our landlord told us to please not let it grow on the house haha. Which I was really disappointed at because it looks so lovely. It is a pain to maintain because it constantly wants to grow like crazy!! And thanks for the compliment Rina! πŸ™‚

  6. I too enjoy looking at pretty interior pictures on Instagram and Pinterest, but it kinda makes me feel bad because my house is so ghetto in comparison and I could never afford to decorate it exactly the way I’d like, lol! Anyhow, I’ve heard fab things about that Dr. Gross cream so although expensive, hopefully it ends up being a worthy investment. πŸ™‚ <3 Thanks for sharing hun, I really enjoy these kinds of posts on your blog! x x

    1. Don’t feel bad! It’s taken me a long time to be able to have a nice place and the means to decorate. And even then, my home isn’t perfect and definitely no where near catalogue worthy. I just try to work with what I have haha. I really hope the Dennis Gross eye cream is worth it too! Thanks for your comments Kay. πŸ™‚
