Ladies and gentlemen (mostly ladies, let’s be real), it has been a minute since I’ve done a Quick Edit. Where did the time go, you ask? My time has gone to creating editorials, helping run advertising operations, Christmas gifts, planning, traveling, more planning, and cleaning. And a bunch of other things in between. That pretty much sums up my December so far. In two days time, I am looking forward to relaxing and drinking some serious wine.

Without further ado, this week’s Instpiration:

Friday morning I will make the drive out to New Mexico to spend Christmas with my family. I would fly but I have to bring my corgi Ens along. Looking forward to spending time with my family and boyfriend, who will also be joining this year! My family owns a few acres, so it’s really nice to get out to the country and ride horses and let the dogs off the leash. There should even be a little snow!

A few weeks ago now, I introduced my little side project Trip Planner. I was so overwhelmed with positive comments of people liking the concept and saying how cool they thought it was. So a huge thank you to everyone who commented kind words, as I wasn’t quite sure how it would be received! Trip planning is something I have always wanted to do, even before I started blogging. I knew one day my blog would be a great segment in to this adventure. I didn’t start my blog because of it, rather the idea of integrating both sort of came together over the course of this year.

I have been busy planning a few trips in exchange for feedback and references. If you or anyone you know would like a free day planned for an upcoming trip, please reach out (! I’d like to plan a few more free days for people in exchange for reviews and their honest feedback of the process.

I hope you all enjoyed my mini series of lesser known things to do in Paris, London, and New York. I don’t really plan on taking any time off from blogging next week, though my posts may end up on different days of the week. I will definitely have two posts up next week! I feel like bloggers don’t ever really take vacation. I know some will disagree with me, but right now I am all about getting that end of the year content up. Work work work work work. And like I mentioned before, I take the whole end of the year off. So come Friday I am living the dream until January 3rd.

I have a lot of things coming up next week and this month. My birthday is December 28th and I’ll be the big 2-9. So close to 30 guys! I remember being in grade school and thinking how ‘old’ 20 sounded. Most things in my life have only gotten better with age (except fat loss, that sh*t is no joke once you hit 28), so bring it on! Then on January 15th I will celebrate my 1 year blogiversary. More updates on that as it gets closer though.

I hope everyone has a great holiday. Keep an eye out on my blog for some posts to read after that Christmas ham sets in, and once your ‘family time’ threshold has been tested. That happens to everyone, right?

What are your plans for the holiday? Leave me a comment below!

    1. Thank you Jen!! I need work on my flat lays as well, which is usually why I find so much inspiration in them. I swear people make it look so easy!

    1. No way!! That’s awesome Tina! It’s always surreal to think that someone was born only hours after me. I hope you have a fabulous Birthday! Cheers to 29. 😉

    1. Thanks Annessa! They are so gorgeous! I am obsessed with sneakers haha. They are always so hard to get a hold of though. Well, the good ones anyway…

  1. Happy early birthday babe! I’ve been having a hard time keeping up with my regular 3 posts a week since the holidays started! But now that they’ve pretty much finished (aside from New Years) I hope to be back to my regular scheduled posts. My views have also dropped significantly over the holidays! Have you noticed that at all? I’m about to search your blog for your LA posts because I leave this Saturday! I’ll be spending the New Years there and have ZERO things planned so far! I feel like I’m behind in so many things right now lol. Okay this because such an off topic rant but I hope you enjoyed your Christmas babe!

    xoxo Rina

    1. Haha I always love reading your comments! I leave random comments as well and go off on tangents. We’re the same! My views have dropped as well, but I kind of figured it would happen. I haven’t been as active and have barely checked my blog all week, eeekkk. Have a great time in LA! If you’re going to take any fashion photos, I think a lot of bloggers take them at LACMA. Griffith Observatory is super pretty and fun for a stroll. I hope you enjoyed your Christmas as well! Can’t believe 2017 is right around the corner.

  2. Happy birthday, Emily! Hope you have such a special, sweet day. I have absolutely loved discovering and reading your blog this year, and can’t wait to continue in 2017. These insta posts are always a favorite of mine, too. The adidas shoes are beautiful, and I’m so interested in that dark house/building in the woods. Such a rad looking place!

    1. Thank you so much Kathryn! Likewise! Hopefully we both kick some ass in 2017 ;). I am in love with that building. Literally my dream home smack dab in the middle of the forrest! #swoon

  3. OMG! I agree with fat loss! I am struggling with it at the moment! Haha! And I wish you well about Trip Planner. It does sound like a great idea and I wish you success on that. You do travel a lot and know so many things about many different places so why not put your passion into something, right?

Cheers to more success and happy stories in 2017! 🙂

    1. Aw thank you Jenn! You as well! And amen to the fat loss. I wish I could be in college again! I swear I could live off donuts and Chinese food and never gain a pound. Ugh.

  4. I love reading these to see what you’ve been up to Em! It’s like I’m catching up with an old friend haha. Happy belated birthday, hope you spent it well with the people you love the most and that’s great that you can drive to see your family. At least they aren’t too far away! Eeeek! So close to one year for the blog. Can’t believe your baby is still so young, I feel like it has so much potential.

    1. Thank you! We would definitely be friends IRL, I am convinced. I need to take a trip to Rome! Thanks for the birthday wishes and I hope you had a great New Year. 🙂
