Sunday Riley finally came out with another eye cream. And guys. It’s good. I cannot wait to talk you through this one. From the ingredients to the immediate results, I haven’t put this one down since I received it. Introducing the new Sunday Riley Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Cream.

Packaging

It’s your typical Sunday Riley packaging: thoughtful, modern, and luxurious. One thing I can say about all Sunday Riley packaging is that it’s super sturdy and feels very expensive. This one has all neutrals so it photographs really well and is perfect to place on an open shelf. It also uses a pump, which is nice and convenient.

Ingredients

One of my favorite ingredients on the list is caffeine. I love it for obvious reasons, but my skin also responds really well to caffeine. Other ingredients include Ginseng Root Extract, Horse Chestnut extract, and Acmella Oleracea Extract. All of these ingredients help the eye area to appear more awake, youthful, and less puffy.

My Experience

First, I’d like to point out that I feel many companies get it wrong when it comes to the amount you need to use. After I read the packaging which said 2-3 pumps, I immediately knew I’d never use that amount unless I wanted it to cover my entire face. I would only recommend using one FULL pump for both eyes. It’s really all you need, and you’ll save yourself some money.

The testing period was pretty short for this product since it doesn’t claim any long term results that I know of. I tested this for a week and was blown away every time I used it. The first time I used it, I couldn’t believe my eyes (see what I did there?). They literally transformed right in front of me.

My eyes were looking all puffy and dull from the early morning I had, and I applied a single pump that I split between both eyes. Instantly my under eyes were brighter, smoother, and less puffy. I didn’t read any reviews beforehand on this product, as I wanted an absolute unbiased experience. And boy did this deliver the wow factor.

I will note that this product does appear to have some sort of sheen added. I swatched it on the back of my hand and it gave a highlighting effect, almost like a cream you’d use to highlight your cheekbones. While this effect didn’t bother me at all and only amplified my experience and the results, I know others might not be keen on the sheen (I’m on a roll today).

I also tested this product under makeup and it delivered in that area as well. I find that a lot of eye products are too tacky and they sit horribly under concealer and setting powder. In fact, I had just about given up on using an eye cream in my morning routine, until I tested this one. Thank you Sunday Riley!

Price

This eye cream is a little pricey, but honestly, what eye cream isn’t these days? For instant results, I think it’s absolutely worth it, and it definitely delivers on all its promises. This currently retails for $65 at Sephora. If you’re looking for a dupe, this reminded me a lot of the Origins GinZing eye cream which is only $30. Yes, I just used the word ‘only’ to describe a $30 product that’s 0.5 ounces. #skincareprobs

Would I Purchase Again?

I would 100% purchase this. I received this product as PR from Sunday Riley, and have been literally blown away by the instant results. I’m quite picky with my eye creams, and I honestly was not expecting to like this as much as I did. I think a little part of me didn’t even want to like it as much as I did, given my recent hate-fueled vow to end my morning eye cream routine.

Final Thoughts

The Sunday Riley Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Cream will definitely be on my shelf for a while. It’s so hard to find a good eye cream, and I am so happy with the performance of this. I cannot wait to get this on my face every morning – one of the signs that it’s indeed a keeper…

  1. Oh man I’m so tempted by your review, especially since you said it brightens and depuffs! I can see this being an excellent eye cream in the morning, and maybe a richer one at night – ah the things I’ll tell myself to justify a potential purchase thank you for the review, and absolutely gorgeous photos!!

    1. I actually prefer this only in the AM, because the results are so instant. At night I might feel like I’m just wasting my product haha. You should definitely check it out! It’s amazing. 😉

  2. I can’t justify Sunday Riley even if you are telling me I need to use less product than they say.
    It’s just too expensive here.
I am really happy you love it though; I would hate to buy it at the price that it is and not like it.
I had a bad experience with Drunk Elephants and since the cream I bought was $100AUD I din’t buy anything from the brand ever again.

    1. Oh no! That’s awful! I know they make mini sizes now that you might be able to buy online. I’ve seen them for the Sunday Riley CEO and Tidal. I think they are around $20. Drunk Elephant and SR are two of my most favorite brands! Sorry you didn’t get on with them. 🙁

  3. Sunday Riley is one of those brands I’ve always wanted to try but the price has always put me off! That said, I’m all for spending if it does what it says on the tin and given how much you seem to love it, I’d say it certainly does that! I don’t really have puffy eyes but I could definitely do with some brightening!

    1. I do find that so many of their products are fabulous, and I definitely think they are worth the money. You could always ask for a sample at Sephora too! Try it out for a few nights. They also have ‘minis’ in the checkout line now. 🙂

  4. I always appreciate your honest reviews! My eyes are just naturally puffy, plus when you throw in occasional lack of sleep and early mornings… I could use some of this in my life. Have you experienced any long term benefits, or is it mostly just a quick brightening that works in the moment? Sometimes I do find it hard to see the line between “stop that is way too expensive” and “well, if it works it’s worth it” LOL. Glad you had such a positive experience with it!

    1. So far I haven’t experienced any long-term benefits, but it doesn’t claim them either, so I’m not disappointed at all. It really just works in the moment, but very well! It’s definitely a little pricey, but most good eye creams are in this range, so it’s worth justifying for something that really works IMO. 🙂
