Can you guys believe this is a rental?! Kudos to Alaina for making this place absolutely gorgeous. Her secret? Only splurge on the things you can see yourself using for years and years.

“My general rule of thumb is to ask yourself: is this item practical and do you see it / use it frequently? I wouldn’t splurge on anything that gets tucked into a corner or room that is rarely seen. Similarly, never buy something that’s so expensive you’re scared to actually use it. If it’s that special and will make you smile and you’ll use it for years to come, it’s worth it.”

    1. Yes! I totally agree on decor. Sometimes I still struggle with buying designer items or not. I do think some are worth it! But most have really great knockoffs. 😉

  1. Such a pretty rental space! I especially love how airy it feels with all the whites and neutral “pops” of color. I feel the same with designer things – never splurge on them unless you can comfortably afford it, because I know I’ll be scared of scuffing it.

    1. Exactly! That’s a good point. I try to remember that things are just things, and they are meant to be used. Or else I’d just never wear all my expensive items! Which seems silly haha…

    1. Haha same here lady! I was really shocked to see she put that much effort in to her rental. But she did make a good point in that a rental is still your home, and you want it to feel that way. 🙂
