Hello, and happy Sunday everyone! As the weekend has come to an unwilling end for most of us, what better way to lift thy spirits than with some new skin care products! Readers Note: lifting a glass of wine is a perfectly acceptable action too.
Today I bring to you Formula 10.0.6. I picked this up at Ulta yesterday and wanted to give it a go for two reasons:
- I am a sucker for packaging, but who isn’t? This packaging caught my eye instantly.
- This line seemed decently priced.
I went for the Seriously Shine Free Mattifying Moisturizer and the Keep Me Clean Clarifying Facial Wipes.
This matte-based moisturizer immediately stole my heart before we even had our first date. I loved the use of the word ‘mattifying’ on the packaging. I have very oily skin, so a matte-based, oil free moisturizer is something I’m always willing to try! This product has a lovely matte finish and kept my face oil free for the remainder of the day (5pm – 11pm). The smell is very subtle and not too overbearing, but does sit pretty heavy on the face. In fact it almost reminds me of a body lotion. That being said, it also moisturizes very well just like your favorite body lotion would. And though it does take a few minutes for this to dry (I’d say about five minutes), this product is not oily whatsoever. Achievement unlocked.
Next, I tried the Keep Me Clean Clarifying Facial Wipes this morning after finishing my ‘every seven months neighborhood jog’. 2016 goals people! I’m not trying to be pushy, but get on my level.
These facial wipes had a nice fresh smell that wasn’t too potent, smelling of cucumber, baby powder, and aloe. One thing I particularly liked was that I could wipe very close to my eyes without irritation or burning like some other wipes cause. The wipes themselves were light weight and a size which you’d expect them to be. These babies took off the sweat and grime from my face, and then left my face feeling refreshed and cooled.
So what’s the best part about these products, aside from everything else I just said? They are $5.99 each! Very reasonably priced and quite rightly so. Are they miracle workers? Not necessarily. But they are GOOD products that work and don’t rob your bank account.
Needless to say, I searched and searched and searched, but couldn’t find anything about the brand itself. I was particularly wondering what ‘10.0.6’ stood for. If anyone has any insight in to this, please leave me a comment below!
