I did it. I quit my job. Today is the last day I set foot in this office that I’m writing you from. And tomorrow, I am off to beautiful Greece! Can you think of a better way to spend your summer? Okay, so technically I have to go back to work. Someone’s gotta pay for the dog’s food you know.

Today is my last day with a company I’ve been with for a long time, and it’s crazy to think I’ll be starting a new adventure next month. This blog has been a key ingredient in me perusing other ventures. Had I not started this blog, I wouldn’t have noticed how much I truly love creating and consuming content. It was eye opening. Until now, I didn’t think I’d ever be in a creative space. My new role is going to help me grow, and eventually prepare me for larger goals to come.

I Quit My Job and I'm Going to Greece!

But hey, this is a travel blog! So here’s the scoop on Greece…

We leave tomorrow morning and I am over-the-moon excited. This is my first time going to Greece, and we have quite the schedule. I even had to make a spreadsheet just to keep track of all the flights.

[striped]Santorini – July 23-26[/striped]

[striped]Larissa – July 27-30[/striped]

[striped]Mykonos – July 31- August 4[/striped]

Our main reason for heading to Greece is to attend a wedding in Larissa. But we also wanted to make a little trip out of it. So we are staying for two weeks and seeing Santorini and Mykonos.

This is one of those trips that isn’t really planned to a tee. Typically I like to plan out my solo trips because I can get a lot of content creation done that way.Β Since this is a trip with a wedding party, it’s completely in the air. However, I hope to have some stunning Instagram content for you guys!

I will also be doing the weekly travel diaries that I do when I am abroad. Β Hopefully one entry Β to recap each place. Regular content might be a little sparse, but I have been working hard to pre-write some additional editorials this week.

I Quit My Job and I'm Going to Greece!

Do you have any tips for me for Santorini or Mykonos? I’ve heard they are drastically different from each other! Food, coffee, fun, etc? Let me know!

Summer is calling me now. Until next time!

  5. Enjoy your trip to Greece, Emily! And congrats on the next chapter in your life. Quitting a job where you’ve been already quite comfortable in isn’t an easy decision especially if, like in my case, it’s your main source of income. I’m hoping to slowly transition to being a full-time entrepreneur with my skin care business. Cheers to us and the great future ahead of us! πŸ™‚

But there comes a point where it’s just not worth it anymore, and your fear sort of takes a back seat to your potential future. Yay for us!! #letsdothis
