Today I am finally able to review the Farmacy Honey Potion Face Mask, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you! More formally labeled the ‘Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask with Echinacea GreenEnvy’, it’s a mouthful to actually spit out. Not to worry though, as the long name is about the only thing I hate. This is the first real product I’ve tried from the Farmacy brand, and I am over-the-moon impressed with the ingredients and results.

Farmacy Honey Potion Face Mask

Product and Ingredient Breakdown

The Farmacy Honey Potion Face Mask is a warming mask that is meant to nourish and revitalize the skin, bringing through its youthfulness and restoring texture. This face mask, as well as all their other products, are made up of only naturally-derived ingredients and are free of any harmful chemicals. Typically, I am not fussy with all natural vs chemical brands. As long as the ingredients are stunning and not 100% rubbing alcohol (kidding of course), I am there. The main active ingredient is the brand’s own invention of Echinacea GreenEnvy Honey, which is a special ingredient made only by the bees that live on their farm. A few other notable ingredients are honey, essential b vitamins, and glycerin. Basically, all the ingredients you’d want in a nourishing and brightening mask!

My Experience

I finally purchased this in October when the Sephora VIB sale hit. It’s a bit pricey at $56, but after using it and seeing results, I realize it’s actually not pricey at all and I shouldn’t have waited to buy it. This mask is freaking excellent. If you’re like me, and were or are debating the purchase because of the price tag, do it. You can thank me later (I hope).

I had my doubts about this guy from the beginning after reading several reviews from my favorite bloggers, stating that it did take some time to see results. Basically, I wasn’t expecting much for the first week. Alas, the beauty of this world is that everyone is different, and I saw results immediately after first use. I was so shocked! My skin looked so much brighter and had a great texture, and the results only got better with more use. The warming sensation was a little hard to get used to at first. I don’t mind it now because it’s really not too noticeably warm, and I’ve gotten used to the sensation. I find that the warming does makes me feel like I have an itch on my face, but the mask only has to stay on about 10 – 15 minutes. It is absolutely perfect for those cold winter months!

I used this for about a month straight and three times a week like the product suggests. Typically I would use it every other night, so sometimes I would use it four times a week. Currently this product is still in my nightly routine and I love it! My skin is glowing from night and until the next morning, and my texture has greatly improved. The smell is great and the consistency is thick like honey. It actually feels like you are putting pure honey on your face which is sort of fun! Do make sure you get all your baby hairs and whispies out of the way though, as they will stick to the mask. I like to wet my hands a little, and then slick back my hair a little before use!

Now, let’s not forget the packaging aspect. The packaging is my absolute favorite of all time. Really. It is so cute and I can’t wait to be able to use the jar after I am finished. The metal spatula it comes with is sturdy and durable, and you won’t lose it! I can’t recall the amount of times I’ve lost a little spatula (btw, is that what we call it?). The top of the Honey Potion Mask is magnetic, so the metal spatula stays perfectly on top of the product! Maybe one of my favorite things ever. This is definitely the expensive and luxurious packaging that make the $56 worth it.

Who This Would Be Good For

Everyone! I really cannot think of anyone that wouldn’t benefit from this warming mask. Obviously if you are allergic to honey, then steer clear. I will say this does make my skin itch a little, but not in a way that my skin is irritated. I think because it’s a warming mask that has some tingling property to it, it sort of stimulates my skin and makes me feel like I have an itch on my face. Nothing to dump the product over though. If you like the smell of warm Echinacea tea with honey, then you’ll love this! If you are looking for a good mask for your money that brightens and boosts your skin’s texture and radiance, then this is definitely for you. Aren’t we all looking for that? I mean really…

Final Thoughts

“Why did you wait so long to purchase this Emily?” That’s really all I have to say. Do grab this mask at your local Sephora or on their website (linked up top and below). My skin has only gotten better from using this mask, and I look forward to using it in my routine every other night. You just feel so good! I can’t explain it. Thank you Farmacy for creating such a brilliant honey mask. I will definitely be purchasing again once my pot runs out.

Have you tried the Farmacy Honey Potion Face Mask? If you have other masks you like more, please let me know! Always on the hunt for a good mask to add to the routine.

  1. I’ve heard so much about this brand lately, specifically the mask; everyone really does seem to love it! I’ll definitely have to keep it in mind because the clay mask I’ve been using for a while now, hasn’t really done much for my skin lately and it’s probably because of my skin changing. Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts and experience with us, as always, I greatly appreciate it! I hope you’re having a wonderful start to your week so far, beauty!

  2. I am so obsessed with masks (so relaxing), but I’ve never heard about the one. It sounds amazing, and totally agree with you about the packaging – so cute! I would love this in the summer since I’m more likely to go barefaced them – it sounds like it does wonders!

    1. This one is definitely great! I love my masks as well. This would totally be awesome in the summer too, as the warming property is very light. 🙂

  3. So you’ve been using it since October EON and it has lasted this long? The jar looks small so how much do you apply? Seems it is worth it if it has lasted so long with great results.

    1. Yes! To be honest, a lot of my more expensive skin care lasts me AT LEAST 6 months. So if you think about the price breakdown for a quality product, it really isn’t that much. But I also rotate a lot of my moisturizers and such so they don’t get used up super quickly. I apply a little bit larger than a pea size to my left and right cheeks and forehead, then a pea sized amount to my chin and nose. I’ve used it at least 3 times a week since October and it’s still 3/4 full! You don’t need a lot.

  4. Oh the feeling of finding an amazing product that works perfectly well for you! I’ve also tried a mask from Garnier before that has a warming sensation and I liked it; but I’m such an explorer when it comes to beauty products unless a certain product would score beyond 10 for me, I might stick with it forever. LOL

    1. Yay! I thought I was one of the last ones to buy it too, but people keep saying it’s everywhere now so maybe not. I’ve wanted it for so long!

  6. I’ve only tried one skincare product that contained honey. It was manuka. However, I have been rubbing raw, unfiltered honey on my face as a mask three times a week for well over a year and I love it. It’s the ultimate face mask. I buy a huge jar at my local organic grocery store, spoon out enough for a mask, and let it sit on my skin for about twenty minutes. It does wonders!

    1. It is perfect for winter! And I freaking love it. Do you have plans to try it? You definitely should. The spatula and whole packaging definitely makes it worth the money to me. And it works too, of course haha.

  8. Wow. I need to get this immediately, if not for the results then that packaging! Omg so dreamy! I love how it opens out so beautifully. I hope it’s ok for sensitive skin, though I’ll have to wait for the weather to cool down. I can’t cope as it is let alone adding something that is going to warm me up further loool.

    1. I think this would be great for sensitive skin! It’s not officially labeled as such, but there is nothing harmful in this product whatsoever. All natural and light ingredients. Definitely better for the winter months! 😉

  9. I’ve been hearing more and more about this lately, and it sounds amazing! Masks are always so relaxing, and as I’ve learned, definitely worth the money when you find one you love. Adorable (and sleek) packaging doesn’t hurt, either!

  10. I’ve heard of honey being good for the skin, but I’ve never tried any honey skincare product. I am interested in this but it is a bit pricey for me and I don’t think I will like the ‘warming sensation’. My country’s too hot and humid as it is, I think this product will most likely make my face sweat and the mask will fall off.

But I do love face masks and you had me at the ‘brighter skin’. I think I’ll consider this during the
colder days. Plus, I am a sucker for awesome packaging!
This is such a detailed and honest review! Thank you for sharing!

    1. I definitely think this mask is better suited for winter! But it won’t fall off your face at all, which is nice. You can also put some raw honey on your face! I know a lot of ladies that like doing that and they say the benefits are amazing. 🙂

    1. For sure! Even if I took a while to see the results, I’d still keeping using it and purchasing. It’s such a freaking great mask. It just brings so much life to my face.

  11. I’m absolutely obsessed with anything honey – it has so many antibacterial properties that benefit your skin. I’m super keen to try out this mask (raw honey masks are one of my all time favourite beauty hacks), especially if it’s as amazing as you say!

    xx
