The day is here. I have officially opened my services for professional trip planning! You’ll notice a new tab at the top of my navigation bar that says ‘Trip Planner’. There you will find all the information about my trip planning services, such as pricing and how I go about planning a special and personalized trip for you. Let me plan your next trip! Introducing Trip Planner:
I wanted to take a little second to introduce this new feature on my blog, since it’s very exciting for me and it’s been a passion of mine for a long time. It’s still surreal to think I’ve been blogging for almost a year come January. I never thought I’d keep up with this blog or make so many friends. Trip Planning was something I always knew I was good at and I wanted to incorporate in to my blog at some point.
For the last few months, I had been heavily considering the thought of advertising as a way to finally monetize my blog. Let’s be real though, advertising is that big elephant in the room no one wants to talk about. So let’s talk about it. There is nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to make a financial gain in doing something you put hours and hours in to every single week. Advertising is a great way to monetize your blog if it doesn’t affect user experience and makes sense for you to invest in. Now that that’s out of the way… I don’t think advertising is for me just yet. Instead I am hoping that by offering trip planning services, I can monetize my blog while doing something I genuinely enjoy, and not affecting the aesthetics of my blog whatsoever.
How does it work? I send you a short questionnaire (okay, it’s medium-length, shhhh) that consists of a series of questions and multiple choice answers. You will then fill it out so I can get to know your preferences on everything from dining to daily activities. For instance, some people hate museums and prefer adventure activities. Some people dislike seafood and prefer Italian food. All these things will help me to get to know you better and plan out the perfect trip for you. I plan trips out per day, and I always have multiple choices for the day so you can choose depending on your mood. Proximity is also taken in to account for daily activities and dining. Basically, I have you covered!
In honor of this new part of my blog, I will be doing two things. First, I have a series that I’ll be posting of Things You Probably Missed in Paris, London, and New York. Paris will go live this week! It’s been a while since I’ve done a travel series and I thought this would be a great kick off. I’ll go over eight sights and activities in each of these cities that are often missed by tourists.
Second, I want to plan a day in someone’s trip for free! Are you going anywhere soon? Want to experience a day of traveling research-free, and on me? Then shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know what trip you have planned, and I will shoot you the questionnaire. This is in exchange for a testimonial. Looking for possibly 1-3 people for now!
Thank you everyone for the support this year, and feel free to reach out with any questions. Carry on now, and happy travels!
